Energy study for the edible oil manufacturing operation

BUNGE, a major refiner of canola oil in North America, mandated FINTEX to carry out an energy study of its steam network in order to reduce natural gas consumption and increase the efficiency of its operation. In this study the deodorization and hydrogenation operations, the steam and condensate network and the boiler plant were analysed. The energy study identified a project of boiler decentralization which could generate considerable energy saving per year.
