Technical and economic analysis of the modernization of the laundry

The Hospital operates a laundry that is used to treat soiled linen. Due to a recent Hospital expansion and the condition of the existing laundry equipment, FINTEX was given a mandate to carry out a feasibility study to increase the capacity of the laundry and to replace the old equipment. Several options were evaluated such as increasing the drying capacity and the replacement of the existing laundry equipment by a new state of the art tunnel washer, dryer and allied equipment. Estimated capital investment cost of the alternatives was carried out and recommendations were made.
