Mitchel - Lincoln, an important manufacturer of corrugated cardboard gave FINTEX a mandate to evaluate the manufacturing operations of its corrugated cardboard plant, including heating, ventilation and steam generation. The projects identified by the study included the recuperation of energy from the corrugators to pre-heat air, an indirect economizer on the boiler and a radiant heating project for the loading dock. These proposed projects had a potential energy savings of $250,000 per year with a payback of 2.5 years.
